After searching the internet many times for a video that would instruct me on braiding a six strand challah loaf, I had to be content with some poor quality pictures with instructions. After making challah every Friday for over ten years, I realized that if a video did not exist, that I now had the technology (a digital camera that takes movies and Windows Movie Maker software) to make one of my own. My fifteen year old son, Andrew, is the cameraman and he did an exceptional job.
If you wish to use the recipe that you see me making on the video, click on the top Challah picture on the right nav bar. Remember, the recipe makes two large loaves, but in the video I’ve doubled the recipe. We usually have guests come and share Shabbat with us and the bread goes quickly!
